>the unfortunate part of this phase of "Smart, Sexy, Powerful" is that the emphasis here is on the middle term

You know, I really don't even have much of a problem with that. The problem is that they can't show much skin anyway, so it's completely pointless. If I'm going to watch girls who suck in the ring, then I at least want to see something that will get me aroused so it won't be a complete waste. At this point, I wish they would simply get rid of the Divas division.

So, as I watched MITB, I skipped both Divas matches. Did I miss something? Chances are, I didn't. I would very much preferred some undercard matches instead.

And by that I mean, fuck the women's division in the WWE. One single worker ain't gonna change a thing unless she works with men - fuck me, that came out wrong. All-female matches are so chock-full of botches (from my experience) that I haven't bothered for three months now. But the novelty of a second Chyna-esque character might make things a bit more interesting.

For the life of me I can't figure out why they don't just split the women into those who can wrestle and those who can't, shove the ones who can on Smackdown (y'know, the wrestling show) and shove the ones who can't on Raw to be valets or something. Best of both worlds for the viewers, and from a financial standpoint they'd be covering a wider demographic spread.

Once you stop trying to at least look normal, you're really going down. Call me morbid or something, but I've got a feeling.

Ha, typed out all that shit then realized that I'm probably going to watch it anyway. Anyway, I'm not nearly as mad as I came off there. It's just that I really want to see wrestling move on from the past, even as nostalgic as I am. Early 2001 was my favorite time in wrestling. I understand that it will never be that era again and I wouldn't want to see some company try to recreate it.

Orton gets compared to Austin a lot. It's true that they are a lot alike, but I don't have a problem with that. Wrestling has been needing the anti-hero DTA character again. Nexus is similar to NWO in some ways as well. But this ECW thing is blatantly the same old guys trying to recreate something that died almost 10 years ago.

The Loose Cannon!6QxZrqZKdY 19/7/2010(Mon)08:10:36 No.759740

Wrestling is circular, concepts will always repeat themselves in wrestling. Invasion angles will always occur, heels will always treat their pretty valets like trash, and heel champions will always cheat to win. Thus, wrestling can never "move on from the past", because when the present becomes the past, the present will eventually repeat the past, and thus the cycle will perpetuate itself.

I liked ECW, I liked RVD Vs. Jerry Lynn in ECW, therefore RVD Vs. Jerry Lynn in TNA with an ECW theme as a backdrop interests me.

The way that wrestling needs to move on from its past is to focus on wrestlers who haven't been around forever and fresh angles (not something that's been done multiple times over the last 10 years with the exact same guys). I guess TNA is desperate now, but I don't see this helping anything in the long run.

Fantasy Booking Thread, i'll start.

Jericho faces Cena at the next Raw, he dominates the match until Cena instantly springs up from a codebreaker and AA's Jericho, but Jericho also instantly springs up and utterly assults him. Even curbstomping him at one point. After throwing him off the stage, Jericho cuts a rambling promo about he is tired and sick and will have to retire and that he does not want his last matches be spent losing to John Cena.

Over the next few weeks Jericho comes out w

These picks are a LOCK. Bet the farm, kids.

- Kelly2 pins Layla despite McCool interference. How can they not, what with the (possible) boobjob and push? It's about time they gave it to her, she may not be the most skilled but she's found a niche and done her time, and LayCool can be funny in their evilness even without the straps.

- Eve pins Alicia, which is quite a considerable accomplishment considering Alicia exists only barely more than Drew. Alicia has potential though, they should g

So I went to the Omaha Raw & SD house show last night. Much more fun than tv tapings since it's pretty much 3 hours of just wrestling. Figured I'd post the results here since it might give someone some inspiration for MITB.

>Christian b. Cody Rhodes with the Killswitch

>Santino b. Zack Ryder with the Cobra thing

>Miz b. Mark Henry & Evan Bourne in a Triple Threat. Bourne hit the SSP on Henry, then Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale on Bourne.

>Hart Dynasty b. Usos. Smith made one

I haven't been to a WWE house show in years. I've been to one TV taping and that was a Raw in 02. Best show I've ever been to by far. I've seen good house shows and really horrible ones. With the way Raw is now, I can see people preferring house shows.

Yeah they have shows every month in Parkersburg. I've thought about going (I've seen posters in gas stations) but, nah. I used to go in the mid nineties but they never got anyone good. They had some Ric Flair ripoff (Mr Sexy) that they advertised as the real thing. He even had a Charles Robinson clone reffing his match. After the main event, my buddies and I snowballed his van after the show as payback for thinking we were going to see Flair. To this day I have not forgiven "Mr Sexy", wherever the fuck he is now. I went a few more times in the early '00s but that was when Steve Corino was getting booked.

The best wrestling promotion in WV? More like THE ONLY wrestling promotion in WV.
