They seem in the process of getting back up... for now. But I think the writing's on the wall for them. Kirtaner's an immature guy in his late 20s who still lives with his mom. feem is no longer covering a shit-ton of his bills. Eventually, and it's seeming sooner rather than later, the site is gonna fall.

Man, if I was Kirtaner I'd be mega pissed about moot getting like $600,000 in funding from some unknown company.

moot gets $600,000 for building a haven for illegal activity and bored 15 year olds, Kirtaner makes a somewhat decent (at times) chan and he has to do shit on a webcam to get his fanboys to donate $10 to keep the site up another month.

There's only so much time before it goes down for good. 420chan is never going to lead to any ".com millionaire" scenario for anyone, no matter no much they try and make it look like a legitimate business with their buzzwords and Taima Entertainment name.

I've imagined it was likely for 4chan to eventually require registration for a while now. They may make it only necessary for the 18+ boards, and they'll probably keep name fields rather than have usernames show up with posts to preserve optional anonymity to everyone but the administration, but I could definitely see it happening.

Also the Taima Entertainment stuff always seemed to me like a funny parallel with WWE calling wrestling "sports entertainment" and whatnot. Minor rebranding that's really going to do nothing but make old fans groan and roll their eyes a little.

Every chan EXCEPT 4chan is in 420's position. They need to do shit on a webcam (or something similar) to get a few dollars. It is because 4chan was the first American one, and therefore is the most legendary.

None of the chans are going out of buisness just because Moot is a millionaire, 7chans not dying, 99chans not dying, and 420chan is not dying.

There were quite a few wrestling threads on the old sports board at 4chan. I also remember a bodyslamchan or something existing way back. I think if /wooo/ wasn't created, someone else would've made a wrestling board eventually.
