Finally got all the monsters I needed to get Durran in Dragon Warrior Monsters 1. Fuck yeah this game is awesome.

This game >>>>> Pokemon [GBC Era]

Fucking taming monsters, combining them, battles are awesome, fuck win moves and a actual story that is captivating as fuck. I just beat the last story dungeon and I am starting to clear out the bonus dungeons so I can get Watabou (Pretty much the Mew of this game).

The main series is also awesome. I played 1 - 5 and 8. I havent found 7 a

I'm trying to give him a chance. This season is a bit confusing. Amy Pond is a dish though.

Not quite. Eccleston leaving so soon. It took me a bit but I warmed up to Tennant by season's end. Same with Baker/Davison.

Nintendo won because of the 3DS. The only way it will not sell is if it causes headaches and eye strain like the virtual boy. If those "nostalgia games" are any good than I might get myself a Wii.

I didn't care much for Xbox... not that I have the right to complain since my 360 is modded.

PSwii mote was gay. Gran Turismo 5 looks good and Twisted Metal should be great for nostalgia. Metal Gear Rising looks awesome.

Most of the games shown for it thus far have been lacking, but the technology itself has a ton of potential. This Star Wars game, for instance, looks like it could be fun as fuck, and even as a huge fan it's been like a decade since I cared about a Star Wars game. The miming when they showed it live was stupid but the footage itself still looks awesome.

It's the coolest technology, but of course the need for good games for it (and a reasonable price tag) is critical.

To be honest, I still resent Transformers since the days of my childhood. The commercials are to blame for this.

Commercial: A kid is shown turning a tank into a badass robot in a couple of seconds.

Reality: Several minutes into trying to transform the goddamn tank into a goddamn robot you're left with a mid-transformation hunk of plastic you can't play with in any way before you finally say fuck it, throw it at the wall and go play video games.

That being said, Beast Wars was still a totally kickass show.

Sony Develops a "Rollable" OTFT-driven OLED Display that can wrap around a Pencil Smark Henry!Qla0pG.fXU 28/5/2010(Fri)08:36:27 No.657135    [Reply]
OLEDs, which are said to lead the next wave of innovation in the TV space (after back-lit LCDs and 3D displays), come with plenty of advantages: they produce gorgeous images, they are self-luminous, light, and they’re flexible – very flexible. Case in point: a super-thin, Sony-made 4.1-inch OLED that actually wraps around a pencil, shown today in Japan.

The display is just 80μm thick, offers 432 x 240 resolution (121 ppi), a contrast ratio of around 1,000:1, and produces 100 cd/m2 brig

"Premakes" The Empire Strikes Back (1950) Smark Henry!Qla0pG.fXU 21/5/2010(Fri)05:49:31 No.644573    [Reply]
Let's turn back the clock, shall we? Back to a distant time in an alternate universe far, far away... The 50s! It was a simpler age of 3-D movies, and robots named Robby, Gort, and Tobor. A hidden gem of this period in cinema is a little film called "The Empire Strikes Back", the second chapter in a planned three-part epic science fiction trilogy. While the preceding and succeeding episodes were never actually produced due to budgetary constraints, "Empire" shines as an example of 1950s 3-D spac
